About Kimono’s Townhouse

Kimono’s Townhouse is a comic about two roommates who are polar opposites. One is a cultured neat–freak who enjoys art and classic literature. The other is a hyperactive geek who loves comics, action figures and sugar. They happen to be My Little Ponies. The comic is rated All Ages and updates every Wednesday.

Ponies, huh?

Yes, ponies! And a whole lot of geek humor, job humor, relationship humor, and more. Here’s what people are saying about Kimono’s Townhouse:

Girly geekery at its finest, and what better way to express it than with… My Little Ponies? All of the attention to detail, the little props, the writing and the way the characters play off one another, all combined with the fact that the creator is so dedicated that she customizes multiple copies of every pony. Totally on my recommendation list.

Tremendously witty!

Kaja Foglio, author of Girl Genius

Kimono’s Townhouse is unique. It’s well written and funny, and that’s what makes it great. So much attention to detail, each panel setup is a work of art. But if it don’t make me laugh, I wouldn’t continue to read.

I think one thing that really makes this comic is the background and props. There are tons of little things that half the time artists donít include in their pictures and that you would never expect to be a real accessory for a toy, yet there they are in the panels of these comics. Crazy little things: punch bowls at parties, little cardboard shipping boxes, tiny laptops, floppy disks, and mini-Wiis. Even little toy sized water heaters. Where does the creator get this stuff?! … As for the writing, it also comes off as rather believable. It seems like most of the speech and events comes from some part of the authorís life, and I find this makes the comic rather easy to relate to.
